£4,500 for Charity
The Miss Gibraltar charity appeal has raised £4,500 for nine local charities. Last night the contestants presented cheques at a show at the John Mackintosh Hall after each delivering a short presentation on the work of their chosen charity.
Gib Drama Festival
Stage One welcomes the announcement that the Drama Festival is to be re-vived. This week we have been pleased to learn that plans for a new Drama Festival have been finalised and that it will be staged in March. Stage One is planning to support this festival, hopefully with our own production and we have started work on this. We feel it is important to promote drama in Gibraltar and are very much looking forward to being part of the festival and hope other groups are too.
Magical Showtime Ends
All three shows of Magical Showtime Showtime were sold out. After closing night Producers promised to keep the magic alive after the show helped raised thousands of pounds for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Read more about the whole experience here.
Theatre Set Up Begins
The Stage One team has moved into the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre where preparations are underway for MAGICAL SHOWTIME. The show is being staged on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th September in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Find out here about the set up and learn more about the kind of show you can expect.
