Miss Gib Recruitment
Recruitment of contestants for Miss Gibraltar 2012 has started. The team will be available to answer questions from prospective contestants on Saturday 10th December at the Piazza between 11am and 1pm. Those already decided can contact the Gibraltar Culture and Heritage Agency on Tel: 200 48063. Full details here.
Stage One to Produce Miss Gibraltar 2012
Stage One has been awarded the tender to produce and stage Miss Gibraltar 2012. It will be a special show given it’s the 50th crowning. Stage One has expressed delight at having won the contract as recruitment for contestants gets underway.
Gib Drama Festival
Stage One welcomes the announcement that the Drama Festival is to be re-vived. This week we have been pleased to learn that plans for a new Drama Festival have been finalised and that it will be staged in March. Stage One is planning to support this festival, hopefully with our own production and we have started work on this. We feel it is important to promote drama in Gibraltar and are very much looking forward to being part of the festival and hope other groups are too.
Gib Fair
Details for this year’s fair have been announced by the Government of Gibraltar. It is an exciting time for Stage One which will be running the family pavilion. Read the press statement by the Ministry of Culture here:
New Beds for Calpe House
Brand new beds have now been fitted in at Calpe House. The money was raised by the ‘Variety Live’ Show in March, produced by Stage One. Through ticket sales and numerous donations the show raised £8,500 for Calpe House and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Gib Fair Family Pavilion
Stage One will be organising the family pavilion at the Gibraltar fair this year. The announcement has been made by the Gibraltar Government today.

Stage One has produced a behind-the-scenes video at the Gibraltar Dance Nationals to select Team Gibraltar for the European Showdance Championships. Watch the highs and lows of two nights of tough competition in our exclusive video.
Team Gibraltar
Gibraltar is set to compete with the largest team ever at a top dance event and Stage One is pleased to be co-ordinating it all.
Variety Live Success
The Charity Gala Night Variety Live 2011 raised more than £8,500. The money will make a real difference to the lives of children receiving treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and to sponsored patients staying in Calpe House in London awaiting treatment in the UK. Stage One has thanked everyone who supported the event.
