More than £5,000 to charity
Callers helped raise £1,500 with an extra £500 donated from the bar takings during the shows. This was presented to the Open Day by the President of the Sequence Dance Club, Michael Vella.
Magical Showtime raised just over £3,000 for Great Ormond Street Hopsital charity. The event was sold out and attended by family members of Gibraltarians who have been treated at the famous London Hospital. Director of Stage One James Neish said: “It has been great to be able to support these two worthy charities during 2009 and we hope, with the support of our loyal audience, to continue doing so in 2010.
In total Stage One donated more than £5,000 to charity this Xmas. Stage One does not ask people for contributions, it instead aims to provide quality entertainment in exchange for people buying their tickets or donating through other means.
