Magic Unlimited Interview

flatenglishmu-1As Magic Unlimited prepare for a return to Gibraltar after three years they say they are “excited” about performing on the Rock again.  In this interview for the Stage One website Oscar, Renzo and Mara speak about their European Tour and much more.  Read it here…

How does it feel to be coming back to Gibraltar after three years?

It will be a pleasure to perform at Gibraltar again. We have very fond memories about the last time we performed there and are very much looking forward to being back. The Gibraltarians are very welcoming and they love to go to the theatre to see good shows. We´ve added an extra show, as last time the three shows were sold out. We´re really looking forward to entertaining & surprising the Rock again!

How different will the show be this time round?

We´ve added loads of new acts to the show. For example more humour with Steven – it will be a show where people will have a great time and laugh a lot. We will also be using a screen for one of the acts so that Renzo can perform some stunning close-up magic. We also have a new and funny act with a TV screen, mindblowing mentalism and the new ending of the show is promising to blow off the roof of the Ince’s Hall!

Is it for all the family?

Yes, our show is suitable for all ages between 4 & 88.

Tell us of your work since you were last here?

We´ve been traveling a lot during the last three years. The Magic Unlimited tour has visited Belgium, France, Germany, England, Spain & Holland, and like every year we played for a few months in the summer in the Torrequebrada Hotel at the Costa del Sol.

Recently you were awarded another prize for your magic, tell us about it?

Every year they organize a magic festival lasting for a month in Barcelona. This year we had the honour to be the closing act of the festival. The public could vote for their favorite act and we received more than 70% of the votes, so that was a nice surprise for us!

What do you think makes Magic Unlimited so popular?

Uff… difficult to say about yourself. The key might be that the audience leaves our show very happy and happiness is very important in life! People enjoy the show very much, they laugh a lot and they are surprised by the fastness of the illusions.

One of the big changes is that Mara returns after having become a mum, how are you feeling?

Our little boy is the best trick I ever did! I´m feeling great, Renzo is the best daddy in the world and Kian is very happy with all the attention from his uncles and aunt. The first shows after giving birth, little Kian was watching from backstage. The baby is now four months old and has already visited Barcelona, Granada & Amsterdam. So I’m sure it would be nice if we could add Gibraltar to his travels.

Talk to us a bit about your relation with Stage One?

James & Jordan from Stage One have the same way of working as we have. They work with passion & enthusiasm and are very professional. We have worked with them not only in Gibraltar but also in the UK and we hope to continue working together for many years as it´s always a pleasure.

Why should people go and see the show?

If you like to watch an entertaining show, full of magic, humour, romance & action… don’t miss Magic Unlimited!
